I believe I'd be a beneficial manager of GWDFI because of my extensive experience with this platform and its community! Here are some reasons why: 1. The Community Guidelines: After actively participating in the forums, I've developed a deep understanding of the Community Guidelines. This is extremely important for maintaining a safe and appropriate environment. I'm well-versed in what is and isn't acceptable behavior, and I try to help others understand the Guidelines as much as possible, which would make me an effective manager! 2. Responsibility: I take any privileges I receive very seriously. I view them as a commitment, not just a duty. I prioritize setting a good example and ensuring that others understand and follow the Guidelines. 3. Activity: I'm frequently online, and now that I've graduated, I no longer have to go to school! Thankfully, my life has been very stable recently. As a manager, I'd be actively involved in the studio, addressing concerns promptly and providing support to its members. I also take the time to thoroughly look into situations before making any judgments, and I firmly believe in the "report and ignore" mentality of letting the Scratch Team handle any rule-breaking actions. 4. Promoting the Rules: I also believe in proactive enforcement of the rules. Regular reminders, guidance on appropriate and inappropriate behavior, and open discussions about the guidelines will help the managers to easily communicate and cooperate with the other users. 5. Large Studios: I've had lots of past experience managing large studios. I've gained a thorough understanding of the challenges of moderating and enforcing rules, and I've also learned how to best influence GWDFI's target demographic, all without letting my temper get in the way or letting it affect my mental health. Coming up with creative solutions and resolutions, and convincing others to support them, have always been my strong suits. I believe in reasonableness over rigidity and taking the time to understand other points of view. Always assuming the best intentions in users and a willingness to placate them, increased manager transparency, a greater emphasis on understanding both Scratch's and GWDFI's guidelines, and more outside-the-box solutions will have both short and long term benefits for everyone involved. TL;DR, I like explaining things to people and I think that's what GWDFI needs right now!
Unfortunately, even though I'm very active in the studio, it seems many users don't recognize me. Perhaps it's because I change my icon fairly often? In any case, I've been involved with the studio since 2021 on my old account, which I would consider privately revealing to any manager who is seriously considering me as a promotion! Thank for for reading, and if you have any feedback on any related topic please feel free to share with me. I'm willing to help the managers regardless of whether I'm promoted or not.
