(New leaf) Moon 13: On a patrol CondorPounce, FernFeather, RockBranch and HatchWhisker find a rogue on the border that is interested in joining the clan. HatchWhisker thinks about it for a few seconds then says yes. The she-cat rogue says her name is Igor, as she says it faint mews come from the berry bush beside her. She says come out now and 2 small kits come out, their mouths covered with the blueberries. (New leaf) Moon 14: As CondorPounce comes into the nursery to visit MilkKit and HoneyKit, he sees a snake inside the den, approaching the play fighting kits slowly. Igor is outside getting food so CondorPounce attacks the snake, getting a poison bite on his side. He heals slowly, because of the poison. (New leaf) Moon 15: RotStar and HatchWhisker grow much closer and decide to have kits. RotStar has 4 kits, naming them AcornKit, LizardKit, JetKit and FernKit, naming FernKit after the loyal warrior FernFeather. (New leaf) Moon 16: RockBranch and FernHeather decide to practice hunting, growing closer as well as catching 3 mice. On another patrol the next day, HatchWhisker and CondorPounce find some suspicious paw prints in the dry mud. They follow the foot prints and find an injured rogue on their territory. They ask if the Tom-cat would like to be healed at camp but they refuse, and ask to be guided back to the rogue territory. (New leaf) Moon 17: Because AcornKit has adopted her mother’s cuteness she is given a Holly as a gift. She’s running around camp and gloating about it cutely. (New leaf) Moon 18: RockBranch and FernFeather get bored on the border patrol and decide to tell ghost stories. Even though everyone was on edge the patrol was successful. At the same time, HatchWhisker and CondorPounce find a shadow in the river. CondorPounce catches the fish successfully and feeds the elders with the juicy trout. (New leaf) Moon 19: RotStar decides to give MilkKit and HoneyKit an apprenticeship. RotStar’s kits are slightly lonely, but she gives them joy by playing with them in the nursery. (New leaf) Moon 20: gossip is going around camp that Igor is actually the long lost relative of PerchWhisker. The gossip dies out after a week, and Igor is no longer uncomfortable. (Leaf bare) Moon 21: RotStar assesses MilkPaws progress. LakeLotus has had enough of life and retires to the elders den, lazy. RotStar decides to give her kits an apprenticeship. AcornPaw’s mentor is Rarity, FernPaw’s mentor is AcaciaMoon, LizardPaw’s mentor is ChickenFluff and JetPaw’s mentor is CondorPounce. DogNight was bitten by a snake but lived. RotStar lost a life when a large rabbit burrow collapsed on them on a patrol. Jet paw lost their tail to a hawk that mistook them for a kit. AsterSpeckle feels intense love for PerchWhisker, they become mates soon after. (New leaf) Moon 22: On a border patrol with RockBranch, LizardPaw, HatchWhisker, AcornPaw and FernPaw, AcornPaw smells a badger den to their left. The patrol chases the badger off the territory and AcornPaw is praised. (Leaf Bare) Moon 23: PerchWhisker, Igor, AsterSpeckle, FernPaw and JetPaw go missing over night, MilkPaw and HoneyPaw are highly distressed. HoneyPaw goes for a midnight walk but is injured by rogues. She is found knocked unconscious on the grass just next to the border, the cats work together to help her heal, as the clan has no medicine cat. A week later, RockBranch steps up for medicine cat after telling the clan they had a vision of a cats face in the dark, adorned with a gold pearl necklace and a rigid gold crown. He says the vision was from StarClan but doesn’t know what it means. GrassNoise and Igor know what the vision means, but have an extremely strong gut feeling not to say anything to the clan.
