˚◞♡ ⃗ *ೃ༄ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 4 The black haired boy peeked down at Venus and waved. "Hi." He said casually. Venus almost jumped out of her pants, turning into a phoenix for a split second before returning to human. "Oh my-" She said, craning her head upwards to look at him. "Um, hi." The witch said under her breath. The mysterious wizard slid down the tree, smiling. "Newcomer, I assume?" He said, looking at her. "H-how long have you been up there?" She stammered, her gaze studying him. "But, um, yes, I'm new." She managed. The boy jumped off the last part of the oak tree. "So, who are you?" He asked, looking at her. "V-Venus." She answered. “Not after the planet. The goddess.” Venus added quickly. No way in her right mind was she going to let this guy think she was named after a rock, but of course, she was nowhere near the Roman goddess of love and beauty. "I'm Jake." He said, finally revealing his name. "Um, nice to meet you, Jake." She said hesitantly, standing up. “Uh, do you know where the dance is going to be? For um, future reference.” She asked, attempting to strike up a conversation, which she never really was good at. Jake shook his head. "Oh..." She mumbled. "Ok." Venus fiddled with the cuffs of her sleeves fixing them. She stood up, brushing leaves off her pants. “Well, um, maybe you could show me around campus? Since I’m new.” She whispered under her breath. “It’s fine if you’re busy, though.” Jake nodded. "Sure." She slung the bag over her shoulder and gestured for him to go on. They toured the different schools, the halls. Jake explained about each school, what they were known for and their mascots. She listened intently right up to the end. She looked at him "When did you find out when you were a wizard?" She asked, fixing her hair. "I found out when I was 8." She nodded. "Well, I have classes to get to. See you around Venus!"
