It's that day again!!! It's been three years (the longest I've had a favorite book series for without changing to a new one) since I finished the finally Lockwood and Co. book and listened to Act II of Hamilton. Happy third Lockwood-Hamil-Versary to me! That is such a nerdy name. This year, I drew Lucy, Holly, and Flo in modern-ish versions of the Schulyer Sister's outfits. Honestly, I think it looks like Holly and Flo are going to burn something down while Lucy is upset about something (probably something reckless Locky did). I didn't plan on drawing this song this year (I was thinking more Ten Duel Commandments or The Room Where it Happens) but because of the things that have happened in the past month, Lockwood and Hamilton each reminds me of two people (ex-friends) I don't like thinking about. I don't like letting people define me and taking away the things that make me happy, so instead of being like Burr and letting their negativity consume me, I decided to draw the three girls to the song Burn, because that song shows Eliza releasing all of the hurt and anger that people have caused her, and I feel like by drawing this, I'm doing the same.
Thank you to Johnathan Stroud and Lin-Manuel Miranda for creating such amazing media that I still love years after first experiencing them.
