click on the empty area of the board to roll the die. then, you can choose one of two options: - flip the number that the die add up to - flip two numbers that add up to what the die add up to you can not flip the same number twice. for example, if you roll a 5 and a 2, and you have already flipped the 2, the 8, and the 9, you can: - flip the 1 and the 6 - flip the 3 and the 4 - flip the 7 once you have flipped all numbers, you will have successfully "shut the box" and your score is 0. less score is better. if you get to a point where there are no valid moves after rolling the die, your score is all the unflipped numbers added together. if you lose you can click the like button to retry (that was a joke you don't actually have to do that) also, please note this game is entirely rng. it is very hard to win, as the more numbers you flip, the more opportunity there is to get a losing roll. however, there are some strategies: - if possible, flip one number instead of two - if you have to flip two, always choose the option with the highest possible flip - try to keep the one and two until halfway through the game - keep number combinations that add up to seven (because seven is the most common dice roll) - try to flip the same amount of even numbers as odd numbers - get lucky (the strategies listed are extremely basic and there's more logic to it than just this but these are still kinda useful) omg lol i literally just wrote this in and then played a game and won haha that's not gonna happen again right yeah okay i lost that's funny though please like it would be funny
update: added hotkeys. space does most things, and numbers 1 through 9 select the numbers, respectively. (just pressing the number keys has no effect, you have to hold them down and press space to flip them) based on the austrian dice game called "shut the box" so apparently i'm no longer able to come up with an original game idea. therefore i continue to remake already existing games. what a disappointment. i started this as just a simple, quick, easy project... and then i decided to make the dice dynamic. 168 costumes later and i have a full set of dice costumes at the expense of my well-being. all for a silly remake of an already existing game.
