i would have never had found out about the hamster until it was too late because thats the last thing i do to get ready in the morning. i realized something was off 2 weeks ago when she was getting really skinny. right now i can see her spine if i move her fur over. i brushed it of thinking that i was overreacting. recently tho, she starting sleeping above her fluff. that was strange because she always slept underneath. i didn't do anything about it because i thought it was just bc she could get her food quicker. last night i realized that she fell asleep in front of the table i made for her. (i put some of her fresh food on it) i put the cucumber i cut up for her in front of her but she just moved. i went downstairs to tell my dad and he said it was probably nothing. i went back upstairs and i was about to go to bed around 10:00. i heard a crash from my table next to my bed and i got up to turn the light on. the cat just knocked over my huge lego llama. but then i noticed nibbles was in the water. she was ok it was just the side of her face. i took her out of the water and on the table in her home. i went to tell my parents and they were upset that i was still up and messing with the hamster. i was very upset. i went to bed and when my mom woke me up in the morning, she saw the hamster in the water bowl again. she was hardly braething. i went downstairs to grab a clean hand towel. i dried her off. she couldn't stand up or walk. i spent over an hour with her then i put her in her cage. she fell asleep but then fell into the hole she made. when i came up next to check on her i moved her to make her cozy and comfortable. my mom says that this is her last day with us. (if you read all that i do thank you it means a lot to me. i wrote all this because i wanted to tell someone so i told you guys) update: we found out from when she died we cleaned her and found a lump in her belly. idk what it means so if any of you know pls tell me in the comments
i thank anyone who fully read that above. i cried for an hour after this. i loved nibbles very much and she was the best hamster anyone could have.
