CHAPTER 1: THE BEGINNING ------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a beautiful day in Toad Town, as usual. Luigi and Elliott were speeding down a road, towards Peaches Castle, to go to the annual Origami Festival. "I'm so excited to go to the festival! it's my first time going!" said Elliott. "I know, it's a shame Mario isn't here right now, with the whole captured by Bowser thing," said Luigi. "Yeah, but I guess it's alright. You are my favorite brother anyway." Luigi's eyes brightened as if it was the first time he had any fame ever. Soon, they arrived in Toad Town, but something seemed off... the town seemed quiet. "Umm, I'm not sure Toad Town is supposed to be this way. It's usually deafening, with a lot of toads." Said Elliott "Are you sure we got the right date?" "I'm pretty a sure!" said Luigi. "let me check one more time." Luigi rechecked the invitation, and the date was the same. "It's the same a date." Said Luigi. "Huh. maybe everyone is inside." Elliott replied. "we should go inside." Elliott and Luigi drove up to the castle and went inside. Suddenly, The door started to shut. "Wait, NO, the door! Stop!" Elliott rushed to the door, but before he could, the door slammed shut. "Darn it. Well, at least I know what to do if I'm ever in a situation like this. find Luigi or Mario!" "Oh wait" Luigi and Elliott looked around, trying to find a way to get out. Finally, Luigi said, "Hey, maybe the princess could a help us out! Let me find her! Stay here, Elliott. I don't want something to happen to a you" In the blink of an eye, Luigi rushed to the doors and was gone. Elliott sat down for a while and opened his book to page one. 15 minutes later, Luigi was still nowhere in sight. Elliott got a tiny bit worried and walked to the door. When he opened the doors, he saw no one and no noise anywhere. he was confused, but his confusion turned into horror, when the door suddenly opened, and out came a folded, lifeless, Princess Peach. "Hello Elliott, nice to see you," she said. "Peach?!?!" Elliott yelled. "What happened to you? why are you folded?!?!" "Answer me this..." Peach said. "Shouldn't the mushroom kingdom... unfold? and be refold unto glory?" "No. I think it's as good as is!" Elliott replied. "And what about those Toads..." Peach stated. "should they be silenced... forever?" "tempting, but no." "Will you fold yourself, and be reborn, like me?" "NO! I feel good being FLAT!" the room stayed silent, and then, peach replied. "Wrong answer. the right answer, it matters not. your replies are all paper thin." "Wha- what?" Elliott said, shocked. Peach replied one more time.
