Story- The Kingdom of Eldoria glistened under the warm sunshine of the day. Princess Alyssa woke with a start, pink hair messy and corset lying on the floor of her luxurious room. Sighing, she leaned down to pick it up with her white satin socks when she heard a cry from outside. "It's her! Seize her!" Her father's rough voice sounded from right outside her bedroom. Confused, Alyssa opened the door- only to be whipped away into a sack that held a tissue- which smelt strongly sweet. --- "Gah! Where am I?" Dazed, Alyssa opened her eyes and found herself tied up on a plush velvety chair. Her legs and arms felt numb and her head reeled with wooziness-of course. The sweet scent had been the scent of chloroform. She just managed to make out a blurred image of a figure strolling calmly towards her. "Darling, I know it was you." It was the unmistakable sound of the king scowling- her very own father. "Wha-?" she said sleepily, squinting at him. King Eldron stared harshly at her. "You stole the crown! You fool, how could you have? Your jealousy of your sister has taken the better of you!" he spat grimly, face serious. Alyssa shook her head, frowning. "Father, I have never been jealous of Audrey. I have accepted the fact that she is the older twin, and the fact that I will never be...queen." she sighed. Tears began to well up in her eyes. She was right. She'd never be queen. "Straighten yourself out, Alyssa. We all suspect you." he hissed. She narrowed her eyes, ready to protest, when Audrey scurried into the room. Sweat plastered her fringe to her forehead and she was panting. "Father, where should I-" Then she noticed Alyssa. Her mouth closed shut like a clam shell. King Eldron's eyes widened. "Get out, Audrey. You've got to prepare for your coronation, remember?" Breathing out, Audrey lowered her head and shuffled away. Alyssa swore she got a glimpse of something gold in her hand, but perhaps the chloroform was making her see things.
I got inspiration from some other writers who were writing in the 'instructions' section too and my AI-obsessed bff generated me the image. Also, it might remain a 'cliffhanger' (I tried testing if I could do something similar to it).
