I used potatoes because they are covered in dirt which symbolizes the hate between the families and you must wash potatoes before use. Romeo and Juliet washed themselves of the hate between their families. And the eyes represent love. Even after being separated from life (the plant) love is still growing between them. I also used a rose because that symbolizes love. I also used potato peelers instead of daggers because they are potato's.
