I have nothing against those who do f4f, or those who think f4f is a good idea. I just don't do it and think that it's not the best way to earn followers. --- Is F4F good? or is it bad? Well, it really depends on what you think of your followers. Personally, I don't like F4F. First of all, your followers are the users who like your projects or like you as a person, and decided to follow you to encourage you to make more, or to have easy access to your profile, or so that they could see the projects you shared on their "what's happening" box. If the only reason you want followers is to feel accomplished, doing f4f won't help you. Everyone wants something for a reason. You don't "just want" something. So why do you want followers? I'm guessing that you'd want followers because you want someone to like your stuff, but asking people to follow you is just... idk but I feel like there's no point. I mean, asking for someone to follow isn't necessarily going to make them like your stuff. Secondly, if you do f4f, you'll end up following a lot of people whose projects you may not like. You'll get your "what's happening" box all clogged up with things that you don't really want to check out. And same with the "projects loved by scratchers I'm following" panel. Wouldn't you be annoyed? I would. Third, I really would rather not have to scroll in my "people I'm following" section just to find someone I actually wanted to follow. That's just annoying. And a waste of time, if you followed a lot of people. Forth. idk about you, but earning followers just because you asked "f4f?" or "if I follow you will you follow me?"... well, idk but wouldn't you feel guilty? or maybe you think that since you followed them too, you're not guilty. idk. I've done it once, in my first few months on Scratch, and felt pretty guilty afterwards. Fifth. If you do f4f, how would you know which followers genuinely liked your projects? How would you know who actually followed you because they thought you were cool? You wouldn't! So yeah that's about it. My reasons why I don't like f4f. Thanks for reading!
