[The Woodcarver's Curse] 8 It's been a few weeks after Eden's birthday and my hair had grown much longer than before, I had let it do so since people always thought that I was the youngest sister, but Eden is. I had not gotten over the cloaked figure I had seen in Eden's party and his sharp dagger. To calm myself down, I excused myself after school (on Halloween) and took a walk in the park. The air seemed fresh, even though there were a lot of vehicles nearby. Suddenly, I felt something fluffy by my leg. I looked down and saw a black kitten rubbing its head against my ankle, it sort of tickled. I looked into his eyes and heard a voice in my head, "Hi, I'm Uranus. Nice to meet you." "Are you speaking?" I picked up the cat (who I've considered that he was speaking so I will call him Uranus) and he vanished into thin air... I walked back home, shaking in shock. When I saw Eden, I quickly told her what happened with Uranus and me. "Are you sure? You might be hallucinating,” Eden suggested. “No, I wasn’t! I swear! It’s true! The cat *did* talk to me…” I insisted. “Okay, fine, I trust you. Only because you’re not known for lying…” Eden said, but she didn’t sound convinced. That night in bed, I was still awake when Eden was asleep. I gazed out the window at the crescent moon. All of a sudden, Uranus appeared on the windowsill. “Join me…” he whispered and vanished into the darkness of the night.
Nothing to say… enjoy!
