Hoglin: Hoglins are giant boar relatives that were a result of a mutated tusklin in the nether. Like their mutated suid brethren, hoglins munch on crimson fungi and have a severe aversion to warped fungus, because of the rein of the warped Mosco. Who knew that genetic memory is real, but only for extreme trauma! Great hunger / scarf: A strange proto-mammal which spends most of its time hibernating in sediment. However, when it senses hunger typical of overpopulation, it will spring up, mouth wide open, to eat far past its fill. This creature’s teeth can be used to repair extinction spears. Strider: These bois can walk in the boiling-hot lava of the nether. To accomplish this, they have long toes on their feet with fringes of skin that unfurl in the lava, increasing surface area. They also have whiskers along the sides of their bodies which they use to sense incoming movement, like that of bone serpents or lava plumes. They hold their young on their backs to protect them from the searing heat. Fun fact: there actually is a hairy frog! I image something like that is the Strider’s ancestor, since all nether mobs, except the introduced ones like piglins and hoglins, are descendants of an animal group which survived the KPG mass extinction!
