A demonstration of a flanging effect applied to the Music extension instruments. Choose instrument, note value, and flanging effect values, and then click the big orange button. To turn off the effect, set "# of duplicates" to 0. Here is an example of this effect in action, used to recreate Da Funk by Daft Punk: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1122286759/ Here are some other effects and tools for the Music extension: Music with Echo: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/673773574 Play Overlapping Notes: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1079465773 Guitar Chord Melodies: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1080228625
Unfortunately, once a Music extension note is playing, there is no way of changing its properties - you can't even stop it prematurely by stopping the project. Because of this, I have not been able to come up with a way to add oscillation as in the Flanging Demo project (see link above). However, I did come up with a different way of enhancing the effect - layering multiple copies of the sound. Have fun playing around with it :) Remix idea: Replace the big button and the "note value" slider with a keyboard. Learn more about flanging here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flanging
