Modernised by Stannah in January 2025. Type: Roped hydraulic single ram with motor room at floor 0. Capacity: 630 kg or 8 persons. Speed: 1 m/s. Logic: Lester Controls (Stannah replaced the logic with Sprinte ASP 116 Evolution during the mod). Doors: Fermator. Fixtures: Lester Controls PB4 buttons and LCD display (Stannah replaced the buttons with DMG and replaced the indicator with an unknown custom LCD display). Voice: Lester Controls (Stannah replaced the voice unit with a Sprinte one and they used Drucegrove voice messages). Starter type: Star-delta. Motor: GMV F1 submersible hydraulic pump. Location: 47 Central Street, El Garcia. This is the lift at a brand new mixed-use building which opened in November 2024. This place has residential flats and healthcare services hence why it's a mixed use building. The building is pretty nice and modern. But the lift? Oh dear... It has already been modernized by Stannah after just 2 months of use! This one used to be a Kotori hydraulic lift with Lester Controls. The build quality of this lift is actually OK, it's got a GMV F1 pump unit, Fermator doors instead of stupid Wittur and it's a fast 1 m/s hydro. But this lift had some severe overheating issues! Why? Because the stupid Lester Controls logic takes AGES to charge the hydraulic and the levelling is PAINFULLY SLOW! And with hydraulic lifts, the longer the charge and upwards levelling is, the more energy is wasted and the more heat is generated which is bad for the pump. And this lift kept on breaking down indeed. Also, the Lester Controls logic board died after about 2 months of service because of a bad QC. This lift was so unreliable and inefficient that it was not worth fixing anymore and needed a modernization! So, Stannah lifts came along and replaced the fixtures, logic and voice. Now, this lift runs way better and the overheating issues are no more! They also added pre-doors and the Drucegrove voice is really nice! The buttons are DMG, though, but the previous ones were Lester PB4 plastic buttons which are even worse! So, this is a pretty successful mod by Stannah overall and the new Sprinte controller is very reliable! Also, that LCD indicator is quite interesting with it's changing colors and the arrow flashes really quickly when the lift is in motion. And in this building, not only was the lift a piece of total trash but the fire alarms and the healthcare service's PC's were too! The building had a new Gamewell-FCI addressable system with voice evacuation. But on this one, the panel kept going into trouble. The result? The system has been modernized by Simplex! The FACP and initiating devices have been replaced with 4100ES equipment but they kept the existing Wheelock Eluxa speaker strobes and remote strobes. And what's wrong about the PC's in the healthcare facilities? Well, these are some Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 2 laptops and HP Elite Tower 800 G9 desktops. And well, ALL had severe issues. The motherboards died quite often in both laptops and desktops and the PSU's on the desktops kept breaking down. Also, the laptops charger port are soldered USB-C and they kept on breaking down and they are expensive to replace! These computers were so bad that in April 2025, the IT department of the healthcare services decided to trade-in all of the machine to JoeTronicRefurb which replaced them with refurbished Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s desktops and Dell Latitude 5501 laptops which will definitely last a lot longer! These PC's have 9th Gen i7 CPU's which are still fast enough to run the healthcare services.
