Title: Nasty & awful mod! 2009 Orona (Mb. Jackson) bottom-drive MRL traction lift... Brand: Orona. Year: 2009. Modernized by Jackson in 2023. Type: MRL traction bottom-drive (Motor in the shaft at floor -2). Position of the logic cabinet: At floor -2. VF drive: Control Techniques Unidrive SP (Replaced w/ new Magnetek HPV 900 VF during the mod in 2023). Logic: Arca 2 (Now Lester Controls). Voice: Orona (Now Lester Controls). Fixtures: Arca 2 (Now Dewhurst + Lester Controls LCD displays). Speed: 1 m/s. Doors: Fermator/Orona. Capacity: 900 kg or 12 persons. Motor: Orona Wormdrive MRL motor. Maintenance company: Temple Lifts. Location: Science Museum Metro Station, 45 Aqua Lane, El Garcia, ST. This is the lift at the Science Museum Metro station in El Garcia, ST. This is a really nice and modern metro station which opened in 2009, which means it's 2 years newer than the newest building of the Science Museum which opened in 2007. This station has 6 platforms (1 to 6) and 3 lifts which are all identical. They all used to be some awesome and rare bottom drive MRL traction Orona wormdrive lifts from 2009. Unfortunately, all of them have been badly modernized in 2023 by Jackson with Lester! BLERGH!!!! I only used 1 out of the 3 lifts because of these mods which made them boring, slow, inefficient, and less reliable! Also, in 2023, the Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system which has PAVA speakers and TrueAlert speaker strobes and remote strobes has been replaced with a PIECE OF TRASH Gamewell-FCI one! They only kept the PAVA speakers! YUCK!!!!! They also replaced the nice mid-range Dell Latitude 5400 laptops & OptiPlex 5070 MT desktops from 2019 with a bunch of horrendous entry-level HP's in 2023! EEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWW! And unfortunately, a lot of Metro Stations in El Garcia are like this now: Trash generic lifts, awful Gamewell-FCI fire alarms and terrible low-end HP PC's! But luckily, all of the metro trains themselves are some nice & modern Hitachi Rail Italy Driverless trains! The oldest ones are from 2002 and they still work flawlessly (They're just 23 years old though)! These trains have a top speed of 90 km/h and they run very very efficently! Unlike those 3 ruined Orona lifts at this station... Also, Temple Lifts is maintaining the lifts at the station and if you contact them using the emergency phone (Press and hold the alarm button for 10 seconds), the jerks at Temple Lift's call center will play 2 loud meme sound effect through the intercom! Also, these 3 ruined Orona lifts takes 20 SECONDS to do a (censored) levelling!
