Cool 2007 Stannah roped hydraulic lift.... Brand: Stannah. Year: 2007. Type: Dual ram roped hydraulic with the motor room at floor -2. Capacity: 1200 kg or 16 persons. Speed: 1 m/s. Fixtures: Dewhurst + unknown 7 segment indicator. Voice: Custom Older Drucegrove (Replaced with Brian TTS voice in 2022). Logic: Sprinte Electra Vitoria ASP 116. Motor: ALGI submersible pump unit. Starter type: Star-delta. Doors: Fermator. Maintenance company: Orona. Location: InterContinental Hotel's metro station, 120 Aqua Lane, El Garcia, ST. While the InterContinental 5 star hotel has been fully ruined in 2023, the metro station is still fully intact since it's owned by El Garcia Public Transportation Services (EGPTS). The station opened at the same time as the hotel did (In 2007) and it has this generic-looking yet cool Stannah lift. The Fermator doors opens super fast on this thing, it runs very efficiently, has pre-doors and has a RARE and nice sounding ALGI hydraulic pump from Germany! The logic is a Sprinte Electra Vitoria ASP 116 controller which is quite rare in EG and works well on this lift! BTW, this Stannah lift originally had the older Drucegrove voice with custom announcements but the voice unit died and has been replaced with the Brian TTS one in 2022! This lift also has 2 hydraulic pistons and is well-built with a nice chassis! Orona maintains this lift as well, so it's safe from being modernized into a pile of generic trash Lester thingy! Also, this metro station STILL HAS A SIMPLEX 4100U SYSTEM! YEESSSSS! And as usual, this one features TrueAlert speaker strobes and remote strobes + PAVA speakers. There are no horn strobes BTW. This metro station still has a bunch of cool stuff unlike most other metro stations in EG. This one still has some 2019 Dell Optiplex 5070 MT and Latitude 5400 PC's which are nice & reliable! Most metro stations in EG have stupid Lester or IMEM generic lifts, horrible Gamewell-FCI fire alarms and awful ultra cheap low-end HP PC's! Also, the InterContiental hotel got shut down because it was such a bad place. It even had rusty bed + broken defibrillators which is unnacceptable for a posh hotel which has a starting price of $1300 per night! Luckily, this station still has working AED's! BUT they left the fire alarms on! The system is a stupid Gamewell-FCI and as you'll hear, it will go into pre-alarm, then full alarm. And you will also hear some Roshni Low Profile (ROLP) sounders going off with the DIN German fire tone. These are the supervisory alarms and they warn the metro users about the remote-controlled closing of the "fireproof airlock". This airlock is a room protected by 2 sets of automatic sliding fire doors which close if the metro's fire alarms and/or the hotel's fire alarms go off. This prevents the smoke and fire from spreading between the hotel and the metro station. The Roshni's also warn the metro users about a fire alarm condition in the hotel if the metro station's fire alarms are inactive but the ROLP's are sounding. The "airlock" also has some EST Genesis strobes which flash when the doors starts closing. Also, the fire doors can reopen to free trapped people but only 1 set of doors can be opened at once during a fire alarm condition in order to prevent smoke and fire from spreading. Also, the airlock has a Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) system which prevents the smoke from entering the airlock while a set of door is open. The airlock room also has 2 emergency exits on the sides in case both metro station and hotel are on fire and/or filled with smoke! The exit tunnels have an even more powerful PPV system for safety purposes! So, yeah, this "fireproof airlock" is a very clever design and it's now time to enjoy this Stannah lift!
