=THE LADDER MOD (v1.0) - THE BUSTER ENGINE= I got tired of waiting for ladders, so I decided to do a "fine, I'll do it myself". Each character now has ladder support with extra animations to account for it. Ladder collision isn't exactly "bug free" atm, so don't expect climbing perfection. === THE BUSTER ENGINE (v4.3) === This project is a four-way collaboration project between me (@retrokid104), @-SonicTheCat-, @Lyric470 and @lumashin-. Use this engine for your wildest boss-fighting dreams! You can look inside the first sprite in the project for more detailed credits, debugging features and some helpful information about using this engine in your own projects. CONTROLS: Use the arrow keys to move. Use the Z key to jump. Use the X key to shoot. Use down arrow + Z or the C key to slide/dash. X during a Dash as Bass to perform the Flash Kick. Use the A and S keys respectively to swap Weapons. Press both A and S simultaneously to return to your Default Weapon. Use the E key to consume an E-Tank, refilling your Health Meter. Use the W key to consume a W-Tank, refilling whatever Special Weapon you currently have. Press Enter to pause the game. Press the 8 Key to summon the Energy Element and end the stage (Does not apply to the Boss Chamber). Primary controls, such as moving, jumping and shooting can be changed in the Keybinds menu. PATCH NOTES: v4.3 + Ladder Mod (Current Version) - Ladders and climbing added for all characters. - New Weapons: Voltage Barrier and Travel Bomb! Which one of the eight Sample Weapons are your favorite? - Fixed a glitch where you could get stuck in one-tile gaps mid-slide. I pray that I'll never have to fix anything sliding-related again. - Fixed the Pause Menu cursor not updating to match your current weapon. - Removed several unused frames and assets. - Mega Man's victory animation has fewer frames (and some new ones too!) - Updated the thumbnail. - Redrew Roll's title screen and Character Select artwork. Slightly. - Fixed the player death effect for the additional weapons. - Tidied up the Buster code. - Fixed a visual glitch where "charge sparks" would incorrectly appear after firing regular shots. - Gave Proto Man a proper shield hitbox. - Fixed deflected bullets not deflecting properly. - And much more! v4.2 - Moved all major visual effects into one sprite, complete with a new hi-tech VFX system. - Fixed several glitches. v4.1 - Fixed conveyor belts not working based on direction/set speed. -New Enemy: Conveyor Switcher. Occasionally appears in Metal Factory - Fixed an oversight where the E-Tank and W-Tank overlays kept cloning themselves. - Fixed a glitch where the Attack Box didn't despawn upon the player dying. v4.0 - Added Roll! Her trusty broom (which she affectionately names "The House Sweeper") will occasionally land critical hits. Be mindful of its short range, though! - Added a new playstyle for Mega Man: Mega Man G! This alternate take on the Blue Bomber grants him the Mega Arm from Mega Man V- The strongest weapon ever devised! Press the Fire key while selecting Mega Man on the Character Select to try it out. - Gave Proto Man the ability to charge an even stronger Buster shot. - New Stages: Ice Rink and Sky Pagoda! - New Weapons: Temporal Gravity and Multi Laser! - New Effects: Elemental fire and ice damage!
