I fear that I am cutting it close to the deadline. Welp. I will add art in the next few days! And yes I will actually add art, I know I said I’d do that for Lysol and never did but I will be doing it here haha [ PARADE : HOROLOGIUM OF DISTRICT 9 ] [ So this was it. Horologium shifted back and forth in their carriage, which had been festooned with garlands and ornaments that radiated elegance and wealth. Their outfit was fabulous, the fabric dyed such a dark blue that it almost seemed black. Small specks of white were sown in various places, resembling the stars that xe had obsessed over for xir entire life. Even the flowers that adorned their head were shaped like stars, shining a brilliant white as well. It seemed that the designer really had just known what they wanted. Or maybe they had just actually listened as Oro rambled about the sky until xe noticed how much time they had spent talking and then began to apologize for wasting their time. The designer had said that it was alright, but it left a strange feeling in Oro’s stomach for the rest of the day, almost as if they had eaten a batch of rotten grain. It was still there, if they thought about it too much. Though maybe it was more from the nerves from being introduced to the entire Capitol in just a few moments at this point. The entire time that they were thinking, their carriage was moving closer and closer to the streets. They kept shifting around, and stroked the carvings in the clock that hung from their neck. Eventually, xir carriage emerged, and xe winced from the screams and cheers by the Capitol’s citizens. But they couldn’t be doing this now! They had to impress them, for that is what these games were all about. If they showed them that those from the districts were the same, Oro was sure that they would be welcomed back. Soon there would be no need for worries about basic needs, for they would live a life full of frivolous things. And Oro would lend their life to that cause, for what was one more in a long line of deaths? Xe would happily walk the path that the Capitol wants, and when they die, they will die with a smile more genuine than the one currently on their face. Oro shifted their gaze back down to the crowd. Xe forced their smile to grow even larger, and they began to wave down to the crowd. “Hello there, I’m Horologium of District 9!” They shouted from their carriage. “Thank you all for coming to see us here today!” They felt a bit–scratch that– extremely awkward yelling at the crowd, as their voice normally never got above regular on a daily basis. To be fair, it wasn’t like xe ever had anyone to talk to anyways. But now, now xe had a reason to screech at the top of xir lungs, and xe continued to do so, offering up their name and praises of the capitol and xir thanks to all those waiting below. With all of these people looking up towards them, rooting for them, they felt on top of the world. They would help all their lives simply by playing their games. And that was all Oro needed. ] Song - Our Hextech Dream (Arcane OST)
