Song is no escape from the Hades soundtrack because I am absolutely vibing with Hades for the past few days and I’m dragging everyone down the rabbit hole with me (This is not in N&C because it’s too long) scratch didn’t like how long this entire thing is ( I couldn’t fit the entire piece in one go so preps are going in comments) be warned most of this may feel like interpretive dancing simply because his mental state is as sane as his roleplayer who is writing this at 4 am because they woke up at 3 (hashtag the room speaks because it does) setting fire yet again because it is a fun activity someone please notice the heathers ref in the prep it was based on a line in beautiful for one of the heathers but I can’t remember who it is ——————————————— A chilly breeze rustled up against his cheek fur furiously as the gates of hell opened up its maw. Abandon all hope,ye who enter here, they say,but his hope had extinguished for long.and the only thing certain was his demise. He stepped in with an almost-uncertain trod, with his eyes fixated on finding a place to look for, the answer was that there were no places to look for, and no one to respond to their questions. The thought of this happening again is mortifying, and he questioned if leading a life away from the districts would have been better than this. “Hi,” Aaron cleared his throat, and pulled out his parade-voice in a dramatic attempt to get a good first impression. It was obviously fake to whoever that had even vaguely heard his voice, and, really, not much like himself, but he wanted to look classy, stylish, even. The unseen gazes of these gamemakers made them feel less alive, which is good, and again, scary. “The name’s Aaron Sage, hope that this will be a great time, folks.” It was no fun time for him, to be frank. The cold had slowly seeped in and all he could feel was a tingling sensation of numbness on his face, it was cold, and he was just as useful as a brick. He wondered why they could have stayed in this climate for so long. Then Aaron noticed; A flash of light revealed traces of precious parkas, neatly lined up. The scent of their royalty sickened him. Breezes bristles against his chin yet again ferociously, and it was his time to act. The dim glow gave way to a couple of miscellaneous objects, all scattered underneath the spotlight, A couple of batteries, which was fair since, well, district 5 is famous for being Panem’s supply source, and the previous tributes- Well, they’ve probably used it without packing up, which was quite rude, but reasonable, nevertheless. “…I wonder where this came from.” Up next on his trail of object finding were sheets of aluminium foil for cooking, which were obviously brand new but crumpled. A razor-sharp longsword, it flickers by the only light source, and it was much like the one that he had practiced with- He stared at the (probably) newly made knife, and can’t help but contemplate at its clearly polished blade. Sometimes he questioned whether the capitol was so bad after all, since, well, they have been fed and all. A privilege in some of the districts. But back onto the sword: This time, unfortunately, he wouldn’t be using it like a cricket bat, no; He had more ideas than that. Now that all was left was a combustible object. It had to be a controllable one, otherwise, he’d might as well burn the arena in its entirety. So no alcohol was a clear first choice. Once ignited, it goes all over the place, which isn’t what he wanted, just a tiny spark would have triggered the trick sufficiently. Hurriedly, he looked over the mountains of provided resources, which did not seem to be the best choice at first, but it had quickly proven him wrong. A clump, no- Multiple clumps of herbs and bark had been nearly piled up against the nearly-black backdrop. This was a treasure trove, a treasure trove of valuable goods, like a rod for a fisherman. Partnered for life, or a bow to an archer, to him, these leaves were his calling. “Just wait a sec, folks, I justttt need to get something done.” With another fell, panicked swoop he had organised the floor to pretty much what he wanted; It was probably better to tell the gamemakers of what he wanted to do at this stage, but then, it would have spoiled the only fun.Like a magician enthralling his words, so does Aaron. Surely this sona could pull them over to his favour? And with an even more tense time ticking against his paws, he immediately gave much of his attention to the stash of bark, neatly organised like a bonfire. With the batteries all tied with quickly-made grass ropes (that were knotted similar to how one would knot hemp ropes), he held its terminals with the smoothed out, teared-out-multiple-times piece of foil, sufficient to be well-held within his palms, against the bark.
“…Why am I doing this, you ask? Well, I liked playing with batteries when I was young- It was quite dangerous, thinking back, and when I, well, when I started working in other districts, it became more,eh, more than a hobby. I like physics. It’s fun, and I guess that, well, that’s survival skills nowadays!” And he muttered with his guard lowered, and quite loudly too, to the point where the gamemakers would be able to hear, like he would to himself. It was fun, when no one was watching and judging, it was easy to process life in that manner, but this time, he’s using this for a bit of an opportunity in itself, out of pure, despicable…selfishness and malice. Nobody’s going to…grieve when they don’t know you, do they? When a tree crashes without a sound, nobody would hear, and he wanted them to hear this tree fall, he’d wish that someone would take him on. It burns, like a candle, and a spark appears. Which was sufficiently better to what he had expected. The spark beared its fangs deeply into the stack of wood and soon a fire emerged from its feasting- Bright, radiant, and dancing above mortals. The flame provided a much needed light and warmth, and its glow reflected, by the haunting window that separates gamemakers and district. They are one under this light. On the left, within Aaron’s reach was the now dedicatedly- wrapped sword with leaves of red and green, again, tied with grass knots, it wasn’t easy in finding proper material to latch it onto place- But he hoped that it’d work. “Anyways, it’s all set and ready to go!” He called out in a tone one would expect at a family dinner. Welcoming and dramatic. All the things that make you stand out. "Let's light this baby-“ He paused his words in a sudden sense of self-loathing. Is he too selfish? Too arrogant? Too… much? The tom struggled to peep out an audible sound. “I…” …Alas, he cried.“This is gonna burn it up.” Holding the now-burning sword in his paws tightly, he panicked, the fire sputtered its fury out as its heat burned through the night. It’s radiance shone brightly underneath his pupils. It is bright, it is flashy, and it is real. He held the sword upwards towards the sky- Towards the ceiling, like a hero in the greatest point of his journey, and approached the window slowly to show off this flaming blade. Between Aaron and them, there was only one mere wall. It was an exhibit, a showcase but… also a threat. A threat to the system. It was him that made this out of nowhere, he was powerful under this light, he cannot be torn down. “In the end, well, this is a sign, this is your sign, yes, you! That we hold our own destiny.” Aaron jabbered on, He hoped that the… worse sides of the implications weren't too obvious. But he’s probably off the hook. That the capitol wouldn’t have known that, and he continued to jabber to cover up this fact. “Well, that’s what it means to me, anyways. I guess it’s quite a nice sword, and if there’s anything that you should know as gamemakers and sponsors, is that I can start a fire, haha. I mean, that seems helpful.” “Thanks for the time today, gamemakers, and again, praised to be Imperium!” ——————————————— The reaping artstyle returns As you can see the art style changes every time I do something with Aaron and it’s extremely annoying and this time he has anime eyes lore wise I’m still not sure why he is so scared of his family i assume they just have really bad and distant relationships that are often masked between family members) I had a wonderful time in searching up Imperium’s last name on diss on your corporates because I can’t spell for the life of me
