Q 1: What is your current book's title? A: Fights I. (title still kinda WIP) Q 2: How many pages do you have so far? A: Depends… in my notebook, I have a ton of pages, but I only wrote 21 pages into digital (writing it out traditionally first works out for me more) Q 3: What is your favorite genre to write? A: A mix of fantasy and slice of life Q 4: Have you ever completed a book before? A: No :3 Q5: What is your main character's name? A: The current book’s main character is Dallam (Melody or Song in English) Q 6: How close are you to finishing your current WIP? A: Sighhh (I’m stuck currently and I’m too lazy to continue writing the digital) Q 7: What age range do you typically write for? A: Idk honestly Q 8: What themes do you have in your WIP? A: Adventure, magic, accepting yourself Q 9: Are there any movies/books that helped you get ideas and inspiration for you book? A: The story was originally a huge multifandom fanfiction with a self-insert main character (I was little) and I slowly replaced every character with OCs, so yeah, those stories I yoinked characters from. Oh and I got inspired by a Hungarian slice-of-life writer, Laura Leiner a lot. Plus my fav series, Greg and the Dreamcatchers. Q 10: What's your favorite thing about your book? A: Suffering Q 11: What's something you don't like about your WIP? A: My writing style in bigger projects is different from when I write short oneshots, so it’s confusing Q 12: Who's your favorite character from your book? A: Do you really want me to choose? I love all my children TvT Q 13: Who's your least favorite character? A: Maybe Daisy, a fairy who is obsessed with herself. Idk tbh. I love her too, she can be kind. Q 14: Who's your favorite character from other books? A: ¬‿¬ Monyákos Tuba from Greg and the Dreamcatchers (da leaf guy I always draw) Q 15: Who's your favorite writer? A: Gyula Böszörményi who wrote the Dreamcatchers (Rest In Peace) Q 16: If your book ever got adapted, what would your dream cast and crew be?? A: I would go for a cartoon, I’m sorry (maybe one day I will make it, or just a little YouTube animation series, idk) Q 17: Do you prefer writing in notebooks or digital? A: First draft in my notebook, then Word (it’s time-consuming but it works the best for me) Q 18: Least favorite genre? A: … Romance? I guess? (dang how am I gonna write the romance in my book when I don’t read too much romance… am I cooked chat?) Q 19: Are you having fun so far? A: Yepp >:3 Q 20: Do you have a cover made for your books? A: Not yet, I will make one after I finish the book TvT Q 21: Do you add references from other books/movies in your books? A: Not really, but when I was little, I always did that. Wait, that’s a good idea, I should do this! (btw, I often write existing songs into my story, so maybe that counts…) Q 22: Do you listen to music when you write? A: No, not really Q 23: Any deaths so far in your WIP? A: No, I just can’t get myself to do that TnT Q 24: Favorite time to write? A: When I have motivation lol (I haven’t written in months, only fanfics) Q 25: Are we really halfway done? A: Yesss my hands hurt Q 26: What's your book about? A: It’s about Daia, a young teen who has weird dreams since a few years. In her dreams, she’s a magical creature, a fairy-elf named Dallam, and she goes on adventures. She thinks it’s a little weird that she can perfectly remember every dream and that the dreams always continue next night where they ended, but she likes it. Until in one dream, the villain, Árny (Shadow) curses Dallam and while they try to find the cure, many things come to light about her, her friends and the two worlds, the reality and the dreams… Q 27: Why do you like writing? A: It’s fun and it helps me escape reality Q 28: How long do you think you write during most days? A: Depends on my motivation and my time. I actually never thinked about this, I only count the pages I wrote Q 29: What is the first sentence from your WIP? A: "I crash into the wall and burning pain spreads throughout my body." (sorry this is just a lazy translate, my WIP is in Hungarian) Q 30: What is the most recent sentence from your WIP? A: In my notebook: “The smaller, metal pendants are sparkling dimly in the semi-darkness, in the center gem the lukewarm mix of the water and fire swirls slowly as it rolls back and forth on my palm.” (this is a really-really draft sentence); in the Word doc: “It’s like he's speaking from my mouth.” Q 31: How many questions do we have left? A: 19 if you don’t trick me >:3 Q 32: How do you think of names for your characters? A: I cry and suffer until I find an almost perfect name (I like to yoink random words from other languages that fit the character, like Uma=horse in Japanese bc she has a /pony/tail lol) Q 33: Give me a favorite quote from your protagonist! A: “I don’t want to get others into trouble, I don’t want to get Théta into trouble, I don’t want to get into trouble! I’ve had enough!”
Q 34: Now give me a chilling line from your antagonist! (if your story has a bad guy) A: He doesn’t talk much, only at the end, but ofc I’m not there yet… Q 35: Is your book dark at all? A: Not /that/ much… In the first book, it’s not dark, but as we go forward, it gets darker and darker as we explore the other characters’ POV through their own books (every book will be from one character’s POV in the friend group) Q 36: Will you miss writing this WIP? A: I don’t think I will finish the book series soon, but I think I will miss writing the first book! I’ll definitely need some time to get used to Csepp’s POV (the second book will be abt her) Q 37: Do you feel like there's anything controversial about your book? A: Maybe that it sounds like a book for young children bc of the magic and friendship, but it will have pretty mature themes in it like depression and all the stuff that comes with it, a bad guy torturing one character for information and the characters get hurt a lot pretty badly (sorry not sorry my babies) Q 38: Do you think you'll ever publish this book one day? A: Originally I wanted to, but now I feel like this little story is more personal to me than just letting it out in the wild, plus idk if I will ever finish it bc it grew so close to me. Well, I don’t know what the future brings… Q 39: What is one thing you really enjoy crafting in your stories? A: Suffer :D Q 40: How old were you when you first got started in writing? A: Uhmm I think I was writing from the day I finished first grade and was able to write… I wrote lil stories for class, and the teacher really liked them (she is the reason why I’m here now!). But in my head, I had stories since kindergarten, I remember some of them vividly Q 41: What's a writing tip you live by? A: If you don’t have motivation, don’t write! Maybe you just need to write something else than this story for a while, maybe you need to do something else… Don’t feel guilty if you don’t have motivation to continue that story! Q 42: Have you ever gotten writer's block? A: Yeah, with art block came writer’s block too, but I’m starting to overcome it! Q 43: Do you prefer writing stand-alone novels or a series? A: I never tried stand-alone novels and my series isn’t a series yet, so I can’t decide XD Q 44: What was a particular challenge you faced with your current book? A: Connecting the scenes, filling in the gaps little me left (I’m stuck with one of them rn). Oh, and writing in a mature tone. My oneshots are always in a mature tone, even when it’s a child’s POV (this is a problem for me), so I thought this isn’t going to be a challenge. Turns out, my writing style completely changes when it comes to novels TvT Q 45: Are you proud of your writing work? A: Sometimes I am, other times not… Depends on my mood TvT Q 46: Has anyone else read your stories yet? A: My two closest irl friends! :D Q 47: Do you plan a whole lot before writing? A: I do, recently, but little me apparently did not, so now I have to write the story as it comes TvT But usually I only plan the beginning really in detail, maybe the end too, and then gooooo (oh, and sometimes the characters have other plans so I change the story as I write) Q 48: Do you enjoy developing the protagonists or antagonists more? A: Protagonists. Idk, I just get a little sick from thinking about what my villains did Q 49: How many chapters does your book have so far? A: It doesn’t have chapters, whoopsies (I will fix that once I have the whole story/when I want to) Q 50: Did you enjoy answering these questions? A: WAIT IT’S ALREADY OVER? Nooooo I really enjoyed it TnT Thumbnail is how many docs I have to write notes for my book (küzdelmek means fights) From left to right: Future scenes/scenes that need changes in the book(s); the actual book; things that I could use in my worldbuilding later; character and world notes (I often forget things so I write down every little detail); oneshots without spoilers (for a friend who only read the first book’s draft); all the oneshots (for the other friend who knows what will happen in the series); how would the characters react to certain things (it’s good to practice the different personalities); characters’ talking style (like Daisy uses a lot of slangs, Théta uses some old words, etc.)
