What are the most interesting orientation multipliers? Move the mouse to the top of the screen to adjust. Move the mouse left to see the list of Stable Angles. (# of Stable Angles is always Multiplier - 1) See the notes for an explanation of what's going on.
Credit to @crkcity for the well crafted source project. Here is what the code is doing and the explanation of what you see: Continuously, clones (the blue arrows) are being created at random locations. Then: At each frame: 1) The arrow is pointed towards the center white dot. (At creation, this is a random direction) 2) The angle of the arrow is multiplied by the "Orientation Multiplier". 3) The arrow is moved 1 step, in the new direction. (The arrow is now located at a different angle from the center). Steps 1-3 are repeated. As the arrow moves across the stage, it approaches an angle (relative to the center) where multiplying it by the "Orientation Multiplier", does not change its orientation: ((Angle * Multiplier) mod 360) = Angle. Therefore it just proceeds towards the center. I call this a "Stable Angle".
