while the dominon fights the gem empire and sol, they forget the Italian federation now ready to wage war once again. Declaration of war started with a barrage of chemical missiles with plasma shield wrapping tech hitting a dome city in a dominling held two star solar system bordering Italy. While the dominlings go outside to show the pathetic attempt is pointless (like they did to the ACCPS) transport ships would enter the atmosphere, launching helicopters out which drop actual bombs and firing their guns at the shock enemy who only expected missiles and with their space force busy in the frontlines fighting gem, the only defence would be the defences which would be attacked first and have para troopers secure and blow up and the orbital ones hit by compact fire. after the chaos, main ground force backed up by orbital strike cannons would secure the planet and since that even if there were other dominion populated planets they would fall soon after with a portal cannon being transported onto the planet (Italian portal guns have very short range) and fired and the enemy planets thus making a two front battle from the portal and in space. any spaceships in the area would be engaged by dreadnoughts firing compact fire and a brand new tech called trojan ram a small missile containing a small force of storm troopers which would infiltrate the ship while the cannons of the spacecraft would aim for the bit connecting the mainframe to the engine (a major flaw in star tech ships) and with the storm troopers inside and a uneven propulsion, the ships would find it very difficult or even impossible to support he army. after taking the solar system, Italy would initiate full patrol over the borders with spacecraft and surface to vacuum missiles and all captured dominling cites would have flags replaced and patrol squads stationed there.
