As you are likely aware at this point, the NASM faced a bit of an issue whenever it did that little thing called the GREAT COLLAPSE. With that came an undisclosed number of casualties (likely >50 million, though upper estimates point to something closer to >150 million) and several key pieces of infrastructure destroyed, but with the new systems in place, everything should be over very quickly. Societal councils have worked together, in cooperation with the church, to rewire economic prediction systems into economic management systems and extend what was already present in Kurslavburg to the rest of the former NASM. Overall, this has proven effective, as economic productivity and efficiency have reached completely unprecedented values. With this, resources are being distributed among all members of society as is necessary, at least if is necessary, as all materials are more or less collectively owned. At this point the workforce and industrial production is so automated people don't even really have to work anymore, so people have begun entertaining themselves more and indulging in hobbies such as racing, trading, managing councils, performing societal activism abroad, etc. The church itself has also changed its practices to align with the new anarchist nature of the United Societies by simply making services fully available rather than having a paywall, and they themselves have been moving resources to themselves to cover this for all people, so it is now a publicly funded service. The church gets money via resources and such that are redistributed to them to pay for their services, essentially serving as a "public utility" via resource allocation. This is basically a form of tax-funded services, but given the collective nature of such a practice, the necessity of the services of the church (at least to the people), and the charitability of the church, there has not been a large opposition to this. Beyond this the USOLRH has begun reconstructing cities, expanding churches, and relieving the ills and woes of the poor with economic redistribution managed by AI systems. Overall, the NASM's former access to massive amounts of extremely efficient technology has proven a perfect catalyst for what is essentially a classless utopia where you LITERALLY don't have to work. Of course, like I said, people get bored and take up other hobbies and such. One of these hobbies and things I forgot to mention to a large enough degree, however, was volunteering. Given the voluntary nature of this new united societies, people are not forced to do anything they don't want to do, like work or pay taxes or anything like that, and they are all equal. However, with something like this there comes the need for a united force to defend against enemies and such. Thus, the United Societies has resolved, unanimously among all societies, to bring back the armed forces. All military resources and such from the old NASM and NASM Galacticus are going to be put back into action, and advancement will continue under a mostly voluntary but also automated structure, and it will likely continue at a similar pace as before (though with more efficiency now seeing that the NASM has literally nothing better to do but move forward and be the world police). This force is completely voluntary, but given Lord Hubbard's requests, almost the entire populous has volunteered for the military. Now, obviously this military will need to be structured, which obviously goes against the idea of hierarchies, but if everyone is the same and there is no line of command except to Lord Hubbard, what is the issue? He is the founder of our utopia and the perpetuator of our equality, so we will all voluntarily follow him! With this, the command structure of the voluntary forces of the USOLRH has a completely AI command structure, with advisors, medics, etc. all being put into the same division status (though being separated for management purposes) and will answer to a "command structure" completely made up of extensions of L. Ron Hubbard's consciousness. This solves all of our issues and allows us to have essentially a functional military to defend ourselves that runs on completely voluntary service. HAILRH!
(music is in the project) yayyyy Also, one final note - This new NASM technically doesn't have a "capital" and just has each society provide a different function. That means that technically pretty much all of the societies are like little capitals, and taking 1 society can bring down the whole country just a little. But there are some societies that are more important than others. They will not be mentioned (obviously). Also, the spy networks abroad, or at least what remains of them, are remaining in place, but will do so of their own volition. They will do things like support local anarchist factions, provide important info, perform secretive missions to deal with statists abroad, etc.
