Location: Undisclosed low-income apartments, El Garcia, ST. Here we come to a modern block of flats which opened in July of 2007. This block of flats is designed for low-income people, yet, unlike the typical stuff you'll find in the UK, it does look really nice on the inside, has nice-looking fire-resistant wooden cladding outside and has a nice heavy-duty concrete frame (Unlike many cheap modern social housing blocks of flats in the UK)! The lift here is an absolutely epic big and fast 1.6 m/s Kone MonoSpace EcoDisc MX20 MRL traction lift! And as expected, it runs very efficiently and has pre-doors! The lift also features the Spanish-English voice and the double-beep which is pretty cool IMO! This lift even has a Golden COP which makes it even better, especially since it's located inside a low-income social housing apartment building which is only 6 levels tall and yet, the lift goes 1.6 m/s! That's definitely not the type of lift you'd expect in this type of building, but some very cool people actually did install quite a few 1.6 m/s in brand new 6-storey low-income flats in the 2004-2010 era. Most low-income flats from that era in EG have Orona lifts which are still nice lifts but they much cheaper than this speedy Kone MonoSpace 700! These type of low-income 6-storey buildings with these 1.6 m/s Kone MonoSpaces are often nicknamed "HOA neighborhood killers"! Why? Because, these places almost never have lifts, you are car-dependant (Unlike the blocks of flats which are close to the metro stations or tram/bus stops, this particular building from 2007 is close to a metro station) and you have to deal with so many silly restrictions, often enforced by some awful Karens/Darrens! Also, the apartments are medium-sized as well, which means the level of comfort is quite high for the price! This MonoSpace is maintained by Orona, meaning the risk of rubbish modernization is still low. And speaking of which, many of these "HOA killer" flats (and many low-income flats in EG) have sadly been downgraded! What does that mean? Well, the vast majority of these buildings had their lift modded or replaced with OEM or generic trash (e.g. Otis Genesis or Jackson Lift Group with Lester), during the 2021-2025 mass-modding era because some nasty Karens/Darrens who formerly owned at least one HOA owned these buildings and requested that just to annoy the residents. They also downgraded the HVAC and fire alarm systems as well, usually by replacing them with new Kotori Minami and Gamewell-FCI rubbish! That means this particular building is an actual survivor because the nice equipment didn't get ruined by some entitled jerks and is still there, original and intact! That means the low-income people who live there are super lucky as because block of flats didn't get impacted by some crazy entitled former HOA president! The fire alarm in this building is a Simplex 4100U voice evac system with PAVA speakers + white TrueAlert speaker strobes and remote strobes, updated in 2011 with PyroStop low frequency sounders. The HVAC system is a very nice and reliable Fujitsu system from 2007. And since this is a residential building, I can't tell you what the PC's and hand dryers are (no workspace and no public restrooms).
