TURN ORDER: PATRIA -> VENICE -> CATALONIA ケケケケケケケケケケケケケケケケケ While the nation had somewhat prepared for the The war that has now started, it did not expect anything like this, the utter speed and brutality of the Patrian attack completely took the nation off guard, the country's parliament found itself in complete disarray. Divisions seemed to be routed before battles could even break out. Defences were crumbling in seconds; thankfully, whatever remained of the government would eventually get itself together, albeit extremely weakened. Officials, the prime minister, and representatives would be moved into any old bases located within the Lombard mountain ranges to try to provide atleast some protection. After this, orders would eventually be issued to deal with the red movements. The government will do what it has always done to suppress revolts, in the homeland or former colonies, deploy the security forces, over the years they have become extremely experienced and useful to the government, from suppressing independence movements in Albania to dealing with rebels during the 2nd Yugoslav war, in cooperation with the nations inteligence agencies and the police, raids would attempt to systimatically reduce thier power and influence, and searches for the leaders would begin, to also try discourge people joining these movments, images from the frontlines will be taken and extensivly shown in media, news and posters, these will also be used for propoganda to encourge inlisting, especially in Lombardy, Venetia and Adratica, as communism has always been hated in the provinces (children were tought under the old regime that communism destroyed everthing it tauched, and was the ideology that promised to deliver yet never did, while schools and society did stop teaching this after the coup that saw a return to democracy, the idea became heavily entrenched in regional culture and it was never really uprooted). to train new recruits, make shift camps will be set up in the mountains again and commanders will try get them ready for the front. To also safeguard industry, largescale projects will begin in Lombardy again to try to carve out areas in the mauntians to move industry into and keep production going; however, this is a slow process and will take a while to complete On the military front, orders are issued to commanders to try to rally the troops. We will stick to preprepared plans, as we assumed we would be pushed back when the war started, and retreat to positions behind the initial front. As troops retreat, engineers will set off the explosives rigged to blow up roads, railways, and bridges. Any supplies that haven't been blown up are also taken with us, and civilians are evacuated north, despite the preprepared defences and garrisioning troops probably being batterd, we will try increase moral by giving them some time off in shifts, while also setting up new defences, these spesifically will be fake troops, these are just scarecrows dressed like soliders, it will be harder to tell since Italian conscripts always wear closed off helmets during combat to prevent the worst of shrappnel damage, so when the patrian drones and rods eventually fall on positions, we will hopefully be able to trick them for atleast the first wave, while this happens actual troops will be stantioned further back in conceiled positions, and engineers will have attempted to set up basic drangons teeth to prevent tank advances, when the main mechanised patrian force arrives, anti tank rifles, and some of our own basic drones will attempt to blunt thier advance and prevent it, while it is likely these positions will be pushed back, we will attempt to goad the Patrian troops into chasing us into the mountain ranges where we can just use try using Guerilla warfare to try halt thier offensives. To try to secure supply lines, we will predominantly use overland trade with anyone willing to, even if it takes more time for supply to get to the fronts, it means if Patria strikes them it may lead to a wider war. To defend the coast, the nation's plan is to station troops near it, and allow patrian troops to land, and as soon as they do, we begin shelling to try to cause chaos. This will be a mixture of live fire shells and also smoke shells. After we finish using live fire shells smoke shells are used to try to prevent the enemy from seeing us, and then troops will come in and attempt to push them back. To defend Sicily and Sardinia, troops would utilise guerrilla warfare in the mountains and attempt to keep the south under total control to ensure at least some supplies come in.
