After the somewhat short-lived battle on the surface, the demons begin spreading to the undercity. They immediately slaughter whatever living thing they see besides them, and hell mass begins to spread and grow all over the entire city. People begin to go insane from demonic influence, causing them to do dark rituals, violent acts etc before sacrificing their souls to demons.
