—the trial of an angel— The sound of blowing winds hit my ears a mere moment before I am rocked, blasted up into the air with speed. The wind currents are alien to the as I float and fall and am pushed by each gust. Why this? Is it a hint as to our arena? The ballon is floating away from me now, and I attempt to pivot, only to begin falling and then pushed sharply towards a wall. Wait. The walls!
wip, doin just for funsies What feels like hours has passed since you took your place on the bench in the dark room, foot tapping on the smooth marble floor, anxiously awaiting your turn. As the door at the end of the hallway clicks, a sliver of light slips into the room, and a tribute exits without a word. The oddly antiquated loudspeaker, which is situated above the large door, then crackles to life and calls your name. At least the wait is over. Standing up quietly, you feel the gazes of the other tributes follow you as you pull open the door and enter the lair of the Gamemakers, unaware of what is to come. Upon entering the vast room, the fluorescent lights above are so much brighter than those of the waiting room that it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. The floor consists of cool, metal vents that span the entire room. Although the walls are not vents, there are multiple large tunnels on each side, and you are unsure of what their purpose is until you are hit with a jet of hot air. From below, a blast of cold air hits you, and as you look at the panel of Gamemakers situated on one of the walls above, a Gamemaker chewing on a shrimp points at the center of the floor, where a balloon begins to drift up, up, up, and away. Each tribute has now been assigned a varying balloon/object to retrieve before the end of their session. After being caught, tributes will face even more wind, and they will have to keep hold of the balloon (at least one minute) until the Gamemakers switch off the wind. District 4: Pufferfish Balloon
