The Cancoon Poseidon is a distinctive decorative ceiling fan inspired by the power and appearance of the sea. Manufactured in 2005, the Poseidon combines four broad reversible Flip Blades with an ornate central housing, decorative blade brackets, and a large bowl-style light fixture. Its unusual combination of curved blade shapes and detailed hardware gives it a bold appearance while keeping the overall design suitable for residential spaces. The four Flip Blades are available in multiple finishes, including a warm natural wood tone and Polished White. The blades have a gently curved profile with rounded tips, giving the Poseidon a softer appearance than many of Cancoon's more industrial models. The reversible design allows the owner to change the appearance of the fan without replacing the blades. The center assembly is one of the Poseidon's most recognizable features. Several decorative blade brackets surround the motor housing, while the large bowl light hangs beneath the fan and provides a warm, downward glow. Two pull chains extend below the light, allowing the fan and lighting to be operated separately. Designed as a decorative everyday fan, the Poseidon works especially well in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, family rooms, and larger bedrooms. Its nautical-inspired name and elaborate hardware give it a distinctive character without making it feel like a novelty fan.
