The Collective deliberately amputates some of its infected regions and sends in quadrillions of immune system cells to destroy super-prion infested tissue and replace them with living cells. The hyperorganism uses the gravitational force of nearby black holes to fling stars at the remaining super-prions, destroying some of them.
