ⓘ As of October 2023, this project is no longer being updated or supported (not like it was supported to begin with). Please check my main Scratch profile for a brand new OS project with a bit more effort than this "leak test". After some time off of Scratch, I have decided to try out the Ninengine Embedded leak. Before you say it, I know this is old news! I just wanted to test it. It's been known for ages that I have been inactive on Scratch, only checking my account every now and then. Ninengine is supposed to be an engine for OS simulators. The leak, that is now well documented, marks the first time I have been able to get my hands on a functional, but limited, alpha version of the engine. As you can see here it is limited compared to my other OS simulators, which may be because it is only the Embedded version. The full version I expect to be more feature complete. In this project, except internally, all references to Windows Embedded are replaced with Ninengine Embedded. The colour scheme is slightly different, and the only extra button added is a link to a backdrop showing my plans to use the engine. Others in the community have made better uses from the leaked version, compared to mine, which is limited. Consider this a proof of concept that I managed to at least get the engine to work, somehow. The only known issue I have found is that the Animation Scale count remains on screen, even on the 'Me and Ninengine' screen. I'm not sure exactly what to do about this, but I'm not expecting much from an in-development, unreleased product. Please let me know your thoughts on this project in the comments. The engine appears promising currently, but that's it.
cs266377 made the original. This version of the engine is derived from the trailer for Windows 9 RE. Changelog: 09.04.2021 - Initial release. 14.11.2021 - Minor changes to the 'Me and Ninengine' screen. Renamed the 'Other Information' button to 'Me and Ninengine'. The "Animation Scale still displays on the Me and Ninengine screen" bug has been fixed. Added a notification when booting during project editing. 15.11.2021 - Fixed a bug that came out of last update where the Settings panel would disappear. 03.12.2021 - Added a back button to individual pages, so you don't always have to click the green flag. 06.12.2021 - Notifications now have a dark theme. Changed system sounds to those in Windows 9 CE to reflect the changes in that project. Clicking on a notification will close it. 23.07.2022 - "Me and Ninengine" screen removed as it was outdated and somewhat problematic. Fixes to the now broken "System Information" screen will hopefully be released soon. 30.07.2022 - System Info screen fixed, resulting in what is now a basic Ninengine Embedded with a custom theme and back button. 26.10.2023: - (Finally) removed remaining references to the outdated "Me and Ninengine" screen. - Added a 'project discontinued' message on boot.
