This is the condition I bought the car in (5/11/21). It was a very low mileage (23,000!!!) Sport model, meaning it had the sought after rear spoiler and 1.8T H14T engine. I got given it for free from a relative, when they found it in a garage of a house they bought from auction. It didn't run or drive and the last MOT was 2011. I managed to unseize the brakes to load it onto a trailer and brought it home. It went straight into the garage, indoors for the first time in 10 years. The engine was quite a simple fix, some new belts and pumps and it started up. The harder part was the rust. The wings, sills and rear arch being the worst bits. The sills I managed to buy online and were welded in by a friend. I then managed to find a rolling shell HSE nearby. I took the front end off of this and stuck it on the sport. I also took the rear left door due to a dent and the rear bumper due to cracks. The only part bodywork wise that needs attention now is the rear quarter panel. I've been quoted over £800 for this so havent bitten the bullet yet. The brakes have been swapped for brand new discs, with uprated pads. I've bought a new old stock Tonos ''Tonos A35X-E'' unit but have yet to fit it, and I've started thinking about repainting. This will be a big job though so yet again is not happening yet. The wheels I found on Facebook Marketplace. They are the same wheels as on my Multiespacio but in a lot worse condition!! I've spent around £750 so far including the donor car, which I will scrap the shell of once all useful bits have been taken off. If you are looking for any mk3 Zambra parts let me know! Some 40/40 lowering springs are on their way from Turkey too as I found them for a steal, but I doubt I will fit them as the front strut bolts seem pretty welded on by rust. I need to swap over the indicator from the old wings into the HSE plinth on the new wings, and a few more odd jobs like that, but on the whole this project is nearing a stage where I can take it for an MOT and hopefully shift it on to get some cash for other projects!! I reckon I could get from 2-3 grand for this car once complete so thats a healthy bit of profit. HSE foglights
