Wow thats incredibly ironic, haha, before i left to stabilize after a battle, i made a reincarnation plan. i split my soul in half saving one half somewhere distant. letting my magic replace that half. where is it...ah! here it is! I no longer have a soul because the half that i had decayed while i was restablizing. after you do this, i should be able to just absorb the new forged soul.
