A small shiver ran over Jacks spine, the room was cold. But Jack just fluffed his fur. He had to do well on this event other wise he might just slip under the radars of the capitol folks. And he needed to be well like to make it far in this game. Jack sat with his head hanging like his cross. His head snapped up as the door opened, looking at the peacekeeper that came out calling his name. Jack got up, and ignored the looks of the other tributes. He said nothing as he walked the hall. He made no sound to the peacekeeper who disapated into the dark. Jack's eyes slowly adjusted to the light. Looking at his paws because of the slightly sticky feeling that covered and seeped between his toes. He also noticed the mist and fog that twisted and swirled around his legs. Then the light that flared above him the Gamemakers..... and Imperium. Jack's eyes narrowed and looked away from them stepping further into the mud, it was a steady incline. looking up what seemed to be a hill, with a flag at the top. He looked for the path with what seemed to be the one with least resistance, and started to make his way up. Jack might just have an advantage here, the muddy fields that he had worked in and the mud matches he had won in the school yards. They might just pay off. Jack pushed his way up the hill. His eyes widened as a log came flying down the hill at him. He jumped just making it over the log. He blinked and grinned, as he pushed up the hill. He was expecting the next log... clearing it with ease. He started to picked up speed slipping slightly, he was now covered in mud. But Jack pushed up his weight and size helping him in this challenge. He was getting close now, after dodging every tree, he had made it. At least he thought he made it. But out of no where a log dropped and came right at Jack. He froze, the log hit a rock and launched off the mini ramp, Jack ducked and the log flew over his head. He flinched as the tree slammed to the ground the hill shaking. Then the mud started to slide down taking Jack with it. He jumped and grabbed the flag holding on for dear life as the mud rushed past him trying to drag him down back to the bottom of the hill. Then it slowed, and stopped leaving Jack coated in mud with a flag. He stood up and looked at the flag then up at the gamemakers. He grinned and waved, pulling the flag out of the ground he drew a message out in the remaining mud. 'King of the hill' Jack put the flag back and jumped down the hill sliding down the hill, he walked out the door caked in mud, he would need a shower. ~END~
