(music is in the project) 3/2417 Domestic Section -------------------------------------------------------------------------MORE PLAGUE HANDLING With the Katabasis breaking barriers by the day and spilling out further, the NASM has continued working on research projects and vaccine development to combat pathogens crossing the border. The fleshy covering of the ground and interior of the Katabasis is also being researched in sectioned off areas, with previous attempts at flaming them out failing. Cold temperatures have proven effective against this living flesh, however, so “Ice Technology”, which was seized from Jundui many years ago, is being reengineered and put to use against this living flesh. Regardless, networks continue to expand as the NASM expands the mobility of mobile churches and relief buildings, while expanding distribution networks across liberated areas. Hailrh. REFUGEE CRISIS With the Katabasis, War of Liberation, etc. immigrants and refugees have been flocking to the mainland NASM, and with our open borders, they are eagerly welcomed in. Urban centers, which have already been developing greatly in the past few years, continue to build upwards to support the growing population. The culture of the NASM necessitates constant forward movement, so underground settlement and warfare is seen as idiotic and against human advancement, and thus cities are being built up and out rather than in and down. Regardless, our population continues to grow and refugees continue to enter, but they enter without a knowledge of Lord Hubbard or our local customs, refuse to get brain chips, etc. Of course, as a voluntary society we will not force them to do anything, and they are free to live as they choose. However, we still have churches around every corner, missionaries going door to door on immigrant tenements, etc., but everything is all voluntary. STABILIZING GREECE AND ANATOLIA To stabilize the regions of Greece and Anatolia, provisional tributaries have been secured to keep the autonomy of both areas intact while giving the local populace a means by which to govern themselves. Of course, the NASM will assist in eventually dismantling the unjust hierarchies created by the state in Greece, but they must first develop the basis needed for a truly anarchist society. The NASM will thus continue to create distribution networks throughout Greece and Anatolia, while stationing voluntary peacekeeping forces there to defend the sovereignty of these newly established nations. The Med Confed has proven fairly reliable up to this point as well, establishing trade and such between Cyprus and their fellow nations. Overall, the liberation campaign in Cyprus has proven successful. Hailrh. POPULATION GROWTH AND RAPID URBANIZATION As previously mentioned, the population is not only rapidly increasing with an influx of migrants, but the economic stability of the NASM and continued victories abroad have created a literal breeding pool of population growth, with both artificial and natural processes accelerating rapidly. To accommodate for this, several societies have continued to build up their urban areas into the sky with support from distribution networks and Lord Hubbard to build up already towering structures and scrapers, with multi-level cities now being a basis. Roads are being built in the sky and supported by buildings around them, and transportation tubes/drone tunnels are constructed to make transportation of goods easier.
(Domestic Cont.) Drone stations and such are placed all over cities to keep defense tight, and HEMP networks are integrated with civil defenses to make city defense easier. Each level is defended, and ground forces can be deployed to any level. Cities are seemingly constructed in a confusing manner intentionally to make chip usage handier for traversal, comms, etc., but nothing has been made concrete yet. Finally, to keep agriculture in tact, rooftops and roads have been made into hotbeds for greenery and farming, with massive plots of land towards the upper layers of cities being lined with solar panels to create green power harvesters. Wheels are being designed in a fashion that will mitigate damage to agriculture, and hovercraft are becoming increasingly common as they are superior to wheeled vehicles in a number of ways are frequently proven to be easier to manufacture due to the lack of a need for refined rubber-like materials, which have proven harder and harder to get as resources become more complex to create in an efficient manner. Foreign Section ------------------------------------------------------------------------- KATABASIAN COOPERATION With the growth in the threat of the Katabasis over the past few months, we have increased cooperation with nations internationally to deal with them, from cooperative research projects to joint establishment operations. Although we still maintain a large monopoly on assistance to nations like the Enclave and the USA in terms of relief due to our proximity and vast resources, we continue to work with other nations to provide relief and our borders remain open for assistance to these major frontlines. Our research into the major remnants of Kalmaktama has also proven fruitful as we have found some innate details about the entity which will assist in our mission to liberate the Katabasis and save the souls trapped in damnation, but that is beside the point. We will continue to cooperate with our great international allies to contain and eventually liberate the Katabasis. Hailrh. DIRECT INTEGRATION OF ENCLAVE Mounting international pressure and failings of the government in containing the Katabasis have put so much pressure on the government of the Enclave that it almost collapsed. At the request of the governance of the Golden Circle/Enclave, the NASM has stepped in to fully integrate their societies and get them back on their feet. With this, governmental structures are being dismantled and societies are being created, with all of this being in the hopes that a truly anarchist society may flourish in the new country of Golden America, AKA Goldam. This new country will be under the direct peacekeeping processes and distribution networks of the NASM, and the NASM is assisting them in becoming more resource independent, technologically advanced, and stable enough to form a truly anarchist society. (Note: Goldam will be a de facto NASM society group, like Anarchobama, and the NASM will have full military and economic access from this day forward. Operations to contain the Katabasis will continue. The nation will be open, but it will remain tied to the NASM. Washington DC has also been made the first fully autonomous society in the former Enclave, now being referred to as “Capitol Autonomous Zone”. Hailrh.)
